EU Gateway Programme

Since 1994 the EU Gateway to Japan campaign has fostered export and exchange between Europe and Japan. Cutting-edge technologies, designs and products from companies from the EU were introduced to the Japanese market, which is the second largest worldwide and still not easily accessible to EU companies.

In June 2008, the campaign was re-launched in Europe as the EU Gateway Programme. The new programme continues to introduce EU companies from promising industrial sectors to Japanese business partners. In Japan, business events are being organised from 2009.

The EU Gateway Programme covers the following industrial sectors.

  • Construction and Building Technologies
  • Fashion Design 
  • Environment and Energy-related Technologies 
  • Healthcare and Medical Technologies 
  • Interior Design
  • Information & Communication Technologies
