Dear Readers,

Changing times require us to change as well in order to ensure that our messages are heard as widely as possible. This is true in many ways but particularly so when it comes to effective and efficient communication where in the past decade or so paper has been replaced increasingly by digital media. It is for that reason that after 35 years of publishing the EU Delegation has decided to discontinue after the 2011 Spring edition the publication of the "europe magazine" in its current paper format. Our intention is to produce thereafter a shorter but more frequent digital magazine format later this year. We will continue serving the needs of our devoted readers as well as our numerous other interlocutors and networks in the coming years. Thanking you for your readership now and in the future

A new electronic publication succeeding the "europe" magazine is now available at http://eumag.jp. Nicknamed as EU MAG, the new magazine aims to attract a wider readership, not least by helping make the EU's complex and elusive mechanisms more comprehensible. While taking the form of a monthly, EU MAG will see constant updates throughout the course of the month. It can also be read on mobile phones, including feature phones.
